Introducing our Turkey Tail tincture, made from mushroom fruiting bodies that we both grow and forage for. Turkey tail is a common woodland fungi with some extrordinary medicinal properties. Research suggests that turkey tail mushrooms contain compounds with significant immune-boosting properties and a broad array of potential health benefits.

All mushrooms are grown on organic substrate or foraged wild by us in Paignton. For our turkey tail mushroom we first start our extraction by using an ultrasonic probe to break apart the chitin cell walls. We then perform a series of hot water extractions using distilled water to dissolve and concentrate all the water soluable compounds. lastly we extract using pure 95% alcohol and a soxhlet apparatus to dissolve all the alcohol soluable compounds. These extracts are then combined together to create a triple extract tincture at 30% alcohol, with a mushroom concentration ratio of 1:2.5 which translates to a strength of 400mg of dried mushroom fruiting body per mililitre of tincture. 
 
The UK goverment now states that as Turkey tail is a novel food, so we can't recommend that humans consume it, only animals or as a collectable. The previous dosage recommendation of 1-2ml no longer applies.
